Audrey Williams Performs Hank’s “Jambalaya (On the Bayou)”

In 1965, the movie Country Music Broadway included outstanding performances from great artists like Ferlin Husky, George Jones, Porter Wagoner, and Hank Williams Jr. The said movie was actually billed as “The First Feature-Length All Country Music Motion Picture Ever Filmed.”

With this great lineup of artists performing, no one can miss but to acknowledge the presence of Hank Williams’ ex-wife, Audrey.

In her performance, she sang one of her ex-husband’s iconic songs “Jambalaya (On the Bayou).” To no surprise, she made the song her own and hit every note of it. More than that, she still kept the country vibe of the song, adding her signature steel guitar intro with her powerful vocals.

Overall, her performance received massive applause from the audience that even the band gave her the much-deserved cheers.
