Do you believe that there are angels among us? Some like to believe that God has sent someone to protect us individually. They said that these unseen forces are there to help us when we are in trouble. They guide us to make the right decision and to protect us from danger. But are they real?

Guardian Angels According to the Bible

Angels are commonly mentioned in the Bible. However, it wasn’t mentioned if we are all assigned individual guardians. There is one part of the Bible where Jesus says,

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 18:10

It’s like we all have someone looking after us when we were young. However, what about now? Who’s looking after us? Maybe this time, it’s Jesus.

“Angels Among Us” by Alabama

“Angels Among Us” may mean that we have a guardian angel or we have Jesus who’s looking after us. Whichever you want to think is fine, but we can all agree that this song is inspiring, isn’t it?

Don Goodman and Becky Hobbs penned the song for the country band, Alabama. The band recorded the song in 1993 and released it on the same year as a single. Surprisingly, the song entered the chart twice, once in 1993-1994 and the other in 1995.

They said that they received a lot of positive reviews from critics. People also send emails saying that the song was a blessing. How wonderful it is to hear that a song can actually inspire and make people feel blessed.

Why the Song’s a Blessing

The song becomes a blessing to people because it makes us feel that we are protected by someone we can’t see. Wherever we go, we can be sure that we’ll always be safe, and when we are in trouble, someone is there to lead us the way. “Angels Among Us” gives us a sense of comfort that God is watching over us or He has sent us His angels to look after us.

Oh, I believe there are Angels Among Us,
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live
To teach us how to give
To guide us with a light of love.
