It was exactly two decades ago when Alan Jackson earned his sixteenth number one single on the country charts. “Right on the Money” was released way back in 1998. At that time, Alan Jackson has been doing great in his career. But not to mention, up to these days, he still one of the most significant and male best-selling country artists.

Alan Jackson recorded and released the song on October 19, 1998. It was part of his album “High Mileage.” The same album that provided us his other top charting singles such as “Gone Crazy,” “Little Man,” “A Woman’s Love,” and “I’ll Go on Loving You.”

Furthermore, Phil Vassar and Charlie Black pooled resources for the words and lyrics of “Right on the Money.” It placed at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart on January 16, 1999. It became then Alan Jackson’s sixteenth-number one single on the Billboard chart.

Alan Jackson struggled to be part of country music, but because of hard work, he was able to succeed. After the release of his very first single, he was known and became so popular. He then started creating songs of his own. Now, he can already be considered a legend.

Moreover, Alan Jackson has received awards from Grammys, Country Music Association Awards, Academy of Country Music Association. He is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2001, Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017, and into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018.
